AMEN! Children these days do not understand the true meaning of Christmas. There are children on here (Yahoo! Answers) saying "I want a Wii, Playstation, Cell Phone…yadda yadda…" Oh My Gosh! Don’t we all wish we had that kind of money to go buy anything we want!?
Before you give your daughter her presents…hug her. Tell her you love her and that you are proud of her. Say something like " I really listen to you and try to get you things that you want and need. I really hope you like what I got for you!" If not, maybe we can try to exchange them for something you need.
I hope this helps!
Merry Christmas!

its probably because christmas doesn’t seem that special to her now that she isnt a kid. but idk, im a teen and i love christmas lol. im sure she is grateful, dont take it personally

Maybe she’s disappointed that you didn’t get her what she wanted…That’s why Christmas is such a bad holiday. Kids expect things, and you don’t have the money, and you have to see their sad faces when they open up a box of socks.

All teens want are material possession, but deep down inside they are probably happy. But sometimes its just that they are waiting for some other thing for you to do with them, like go to the movies, let them drive the car for a bit.

To have Gratitude and Appreciation is learned from our parents. How have you practiced these virtues in your own life as an example?
