I can’t really wait much longer! I’m making about 14 different kinds.. Mmmmm:) and I have sat aside today (Friday) and tomorrow to do them. But now I’m worrying that it’s too early and they’ll be stale.
If I start making Christmas cookies today, will they still be good for Christmas?

You should be okay if you make the dough today and tomorrow and freeze it; then you can bake it later. If that’s not an option, I hear bread will help keep cookies fresh. Put a slice of bread in your plastic container (tin containers tend to make them dry out faster) on top of the cookies and seal it up. When you open them on Christmas day, the bread will be rock hard, but the cookies should be pretty fresh. (I baked on Wednesday night for today, used the bread trick, and the cookies are great!)

In a container, cookies keep their refreshing softness for about a day or 2. After that, then I’d say just put them in the refrigerator. Usually, cold cookies always seem to taste wonderful even though they might seem a little hard, at first.

Of course they’ll be okay, for several days in fact. Just be sure not to cook them too long because then they’ll only be soft when they first come out of the oven and then they’lll be really hard the days after (though they won’t be stale). If you cook them just right they’ll be soft and chewy for days! Good luck and happy cooking!

It’s not too early, just make sure you put them in freezer ziploc bags and keep them closed. You can even freeze them and thaw them the night before if you like.

Make sure you store them up though, air-tight container!
We’ve already started making some cookies, last night!
Good Luck and have fun!
