We are having a party and want to randomly draw costumes relating to Christmas (ie: santa, reindeer, the grinch, snowman etc) Reason for doing this is because we do not want two people to have the same costume. We were wanting to draw names but can not get everyone together to do so. Does anyone have fair idea on how we can do this?
Any suggestions on how to draw names for Christmas party themed costumes?

The simplest way to do it would just to put all the costume ideas in a bowl and then just have each person draw and see what costume they get.

Put everyone’s name in a bowl. Assign a costume with each name you pick and post the list!
Have fun!

Put together your list of costumes in a single column order. Doesn’t matter what this order is as long as it’s a single column order.
Now, email everyone and ask them to randomly pick any single number from 1 to 1000 or some large number range and they can email you back their number. Don’t tell them what it’s for.
After everyone has responded, put everyone’s number in order, like from lowest to highest. If more than one person responds with the same number, then place whoever responded first before later responses.
When you have the single order of people (which should be random based on their number choice), then assign costumes matching the lists. For example, the first person on the list is assigned the first costume on that list, and so on.

I’m sure you can do it over email.
Put the names in a bowl.
Put the costumes in another.
Pull one out of each bowl and there you have it.
Email everyone the results.
